How to Choose an Aged YouTube Channel: A 10-Point Checklist

Hundreds of aged channels, one budget. Here are the ten checks that separate a good buy from a random one — each maps to something you can see on every listing in the catalog.

1. The registration date

The “Joined” date is the one thing nobody can recreate. Every listing shows the registration year, and the exact date when we have it. 2005–2006 channels are the rarest; 2010–2012 are the most affordable.

2. The handle

Early channels often have short or plain-word handles. You can change it after the transfer, but a good original handle is part of what you're buying.

3. Upload history

Check how many videos the channel has and when the last one went up. Old uploads can be kept, hidden or deleted after the handover — they're part of the channel's story, not an obligation.

4. Lifetime views

Views show the channel had a real audience at some point. The Most views per $ sort shows who gives you the most history for the money.

5. Country

The channel's country is on every listing. Pick one that matches your audience, or change it in YouTube Studio later.

6. Content format

Long-form, Shorts or mixed — the listing tells you what the channel mostly published. It doesn't limit what you publish next.

7. Niche

A matching niche keeps the old uploads relevant; a different niche is fine if you plan a full rebrand.

8. Analytics screenshots

Open the Analytics tab on a listing and zoom into the YouTube Studio screenshots — they show the real numbers straight from the channel.

9. Price per year of age

The Cheapest per year of age sort divides the price by the channel's age, so an older channel at the same price ranks first. It's the quickest way to find value.
