How to Check When a YouTube Channel Was Created

Three ways to find a YouTube channel's real creation date — on the About page, with a free checker, and what to watch for when a seller shows you one.

When you buy an aged channel, the age is what you're paying for. Always check it yourself — it takes half a minute.

1. The channel's About section

Open the channel on YouTube, tap the description under the channel name (or “more”), and look for Joined with a date. That's the registration date, and it never changes — not after a rename, not after a new handle.

2. A free age checker

Paste the channel link into our YouTube channel age checker. It shows the creation date, the exact age and the channel's public stats.

3. Red flags when a seller shows you the date

  • A screenshot instead of a link — ask for the channel link and check it yourself.
  • The oldest video is much older than the Joined date — videos can be uploaded with old titles, but the channel date is what counts.
  • The seller won't tell you the channel before payment — you can't verify anything.

On LegacyChannels every listing shows the registration date and you can reveal the channel ID before buying. Browse aged channels.
